Meet Nitro, he came to Mandy Harry in a disgusting state, he was literally the walking dead.  From what we know his story began at the Gympie sales Yards when he was ripped from his mother .  He was ear marked to go to the doggers, even though there was nothing of him.  A young boy saw him there and offered the dogger I believe it was the sum of $50 to take him, the dogger said yes but only if he removed him in 24 hours.  

The Boy removed the foal, but was unfortunately not allowed to keep him, he rang Amanda from equine essence and she said yes and then realised that she had no experience in raising a foal so young, Amanda rang Mandy Harry and she arranged for him to be picked up.  Nitro could hardly walk, without much convincing up he went, and they were on there way.

When he arrived he just stood there and wouldn’t drink, Mandy Harry had to get a suringe and squirt water in his mouth until finally he drank.  The next few days where touch and go….with lots of love and perseverance Nitro is alive to tell the tale.  Mandy Harry knew when he was starting to feel better when he launched at her once with teeth bared when she came in to feed him.  Mandy Harry spent days in the paddock with Nitro sometimes up to 3 hours at a time teaching him how to be a horse, I know it sounds crazy but he didn’t know how to drink or eat or even mix with other horses.
